UDOT is building 2.8 miles of new freeway on 2100 North to create a nonstop freeway-to-freeway link between I-15 and Mountain View Corridor, which it estimates will save east-west commuters about 12 minutes each way at peak. The design calls for 14 new bridges, two pedestrian bridges and about 2 miles of shared-use paths. Right-of-way acquisition ran from 2025 to late fall 2025 and a design-build contractor was selected in late 2025; groundbreaking was March 18, 2026. It is the largest piece of a nearly $1.4 billion state investment in northwest Utah County.
Road project
Completed
UDOT opened a four-mile freeway segment of Mountain View Corridor between 2100 North and Porter Rockwell Boulevard. It is part of the state's northwest Utah County program and sets up the 2100 North freeway link to I-15.

UDOT is converting shoulders and the center median of Pioneer Crossing into reversible Flex Lanes, adding lanes so the Mill Pond Road-to-I-15 stretch has four lanes each direction, adding a westbound lane from Redwood Road to just west of Mountain View Corridor and a new signal at Medical Drive, and lengthening turn pockets. A new lane opened in each direction May 3, 2026; storm drain, pavement and bridge-deck work wrapped up in summer 2026. Remaining work includes 2300 West utility relocation and turn lanes (through late 2026), overnight lane and side-street closures, and Flex Lane signal activation in late 2026. UDOT says rush-hour commuters will save more than six minutes.
Road project

Next step is planning, with the project added to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program; no construction schedule or cost is posted.
