Accessory dwelling unit restrictions (Ordinance 29-2022)
Tabled · 3-0
Planning Director Kim Struthers said staff are trying to meet state requirements for accessory dwelling units by allowing them where sewer capacity is greater and restricting them where the effect on the system would be largest. Brenden Ethington asked how restricted areas were chosen and asked that his area be restricted. Erin Ethington agreed and raised concern about how residents were notified. The council tabled the ordinance and directed staff to consider ADU restrictions in The Crossings neighborhood and other areas.
