Hansen Tennis Facility development agreement amendment (Resolution 2023-40)

    Approved · 4-0

Jacob Hansen asked for a change so that the clay courts, once built, could operate as a permanent use even if the rest of the project is not finished. The council discussed the wording and agreed that the clay court use would not end after the initial period, but that temporary facilities such as bathrooms and parking would need to become permanent within two years. Council Member Southwick moved the change and amended his motion to add Mayor Pro Tempore Hancock's clarification.

Lehi Tennis Club development agreement amendment (Resolution 2023-40)

    Tabled · 4-0

Jacob Hansen asked for the option to change the building style, to phase construction beginning with clay courts, to cover courts and possibly add a swimming pool. Council members worried about changing the project's original intent and effects on traffic, parking and the neighborhood. The council tabled the resolution and directed staff to modify the agreement to allow a two-year extension (with a one-year extension on the application process) and construction of clay courts, with a semi-permanent driveway surface allowed instead of gravel; other terms remain.

    • Condition: all other terms unchanged

Moved by Council Member Chris Condie, seconded by Council Member Paige Albrecht (amended). Vote: 4-0; Council Member Katie Koivisto absent
