Jared Morgan of GWC Capital represented the applicant for 404 units in a transit-oriented zone. Hang gliding and paragliding users of the Point of the Mountain flight park, including Heather Muslowsky, Jim Shumway, Logan Jones and Jason Wallace, asked for a wind study; Morgan said he would do one and work with the community. Another speaker wanted lower buildings nearest the hill, and Rob Ludlow asked about park impact fee use, amenities and safe egress on Flight Park Road. Council Member Paige Albrecht asked about an updated traffic study, and staff said the developer was requesting a reduction standard and that a parking study is also needed. The council approved with conditions that the developer conduct the wind study, coordinate ingress and egress to phase units, and work with staff on issues as they arise.
