Jared Stoddard, for the applicant, described a multi-use flex space and sought to change 2.99 acres from Commercial to Heavy Commercial. Residents, including several who read letters on behalf of neighbors, cited noise, dust, light, congestion on 1100 West and fairness to people who bought homes under current zoning; Casey Glade said the city is not a good neighbor on adjacent city property and urged keeping commercial, and Tyson Hodges asked that existing zoning be followed. Council Member Newall said buyers and developers should choose land that matches the zoning, and members voiced disapproval of heavy commercial here while discussing a development agreement and buffering. After the discussion the applicant withdrew the application.
