  1. August 13, 2026 · Planning Commission

Water Department storage building glass exception, 300 West

    Denied

The city's Water Department storage building, designed by Galloway and Company, does not meet the General Nonresidential Design District requirement for 20 percent glass. Designers said they added as much glass as a storage use allows and placed some above the first floor because the building sits below the sidewalk and roadway. Engage Lehi reports the Planning Commission denied the exception.

Purchase order to Intermountain Regional Landfill to pay dump fees for debris excavated from the Public Works storage building site, which is a historic dump. The city is paying these fees directly rather than through the contractor.

Public Works water storage building dirt work, Hughes General Contractors (Resolution 2026-48)

    Pending

Approves Bid Package 01 earthwork with Hughes General Contractors, the construction manager/general contractor chosen through an RFP as the lowest responsive and most responsible proposer. Hughes solicited three excavation bids; Lakeview Rock Products was low. The not-to-exceed amount is $1,393,816: the $1,555,165 base plus alternates 02 ($63,361) and 03 ($74,490), minus alternate 05 ($299,200) because the city pays dump fees itself.

    • Excavation bids (base): Lakeview Rock Products $1,057,653; Jones Excavating $1,809,050; Suncore $2,520,058
    • Lakeview Rock alternates: 02 $58,926; 03 $69,276; 04 -$163,392; 05 -$278,256
