Zone change on 20.10 acres at 2100 North 2300 West (Ordinance 56-2021)

    Approved · 4-1

The council changed the zoning of 20.10 acres from A-5 (agriculture) to Neighborhood Commercial and R-1-Flex (residential). Eric Towner, representing the applicant, said the developer wants to limit cut-through traffic and is asking for three lots in exchange for improvements and construction of a pedestrian trail. Brian McCuiston suggested every lot have at least a 20-foot driveway and wanted the city and school district properties developed to give a second access to 2300 West. Aaron Bullen said he disagreed with approval as a planned unit development and felt the open-space requirements were not met because the open space was remnant parcels. Items 6 and 7 were heard together.
