The amendments would raise fence heights, restrict materials, widen buffers and change landscaping rules. Mark Skousen of Hadco Construction said the company wants to be a good neighbor but the 30-foot buffer may be unnecessarily restrictive. Teresa Gonzalez sought effective barriers against sight lines and sound while recognizing business costs. Council concerns included height differences, cost to businesses, sound barrier effectiveness and water use. The council tabled it and directed staff to work with the Planning Commission on changes.
