Discussion of Transit Oriented Development code issues (Meadowbrook)

    Discussed

Staff described inconsistencies in the TOD code raised by Woodside Homes' Meadowbrook project: block type percentages, pedestrian sheds and access to 620 South. The developer wants Block Type 3 so homes need not access 620 South; Shelton said residents were promised about 8 units per acre, not 14. Legal counsel said the code's special requirements allow it.

  11. March 29, 2022 · City Council

    Meadowbrook district framework plan

    Tabled · 4-0

Tabled. Shelton said Woodside's Block Type 3 request conflicted with the TOD code's Block Type 2 overlay and 25% cap. Former planning commissioner Bruce Frandsen and neighbors said residents were promised lower density at the TOD edges and objected to bike lanes on 620 South in front of homes and farms.
