Fifth-graders ask city to protect monarch habitat; Meadowbrook TOD plan approved

April 12, 2022, 7:00 p.m. · American Fork City Hall, 31 N. Church St.

A Cedar Ridge Elementary class asked the American Fork City Council to protect wetland monarch butterfly habitat. The council accepted a $247,818 federal firefighter safety grant and the Harbor Road Plat E annexation petition. After debating flaws in the transit-oriented development code, it approved Woodside Homes' Meadowbrook district framework plan without block types, and amended Edgewater Townhomes plats. The mayor reported Alpine School District agreed to a CRA interlocal to help fund 200 South improvements.
