    Deer Park-Thomson annexation petition, 4.35 acres at about 50 W. 1100 South

    Approved · 4-0

Staff worried annexing only the north portion could leave a landlocked island to the south. Mike Horan of White Horse Development said they had worked with UDOT for 10 months on future road needs and wanted to move ahead so tenants aren't delayed; Tyler Horan cited a state code provision allowing an owner to deed part of a parcel. Legal counsel Cherylyn Egner preferred a 14-day window rather than 30. Petition accepted (Resolution 2023-04-18R) contingent on an application for the southern parcel within 14 days.
