Saddle Junction rezone, about 1.5 acres

    Approved · 5-0

The Planning Commission voted 3-1 to recommend CN (neighborhood commercial) zoning with structures up to 50 feet through a development agreement. City Attorney Jeremy Cook said neighboring land south of Stonebridge Lane has vested rights under its prior commercial zone. At the public hearing (8:27 to 8:35 p.m.), Robert Black raised building height, property values, traffic and safety, and Camille Gardner raised height, traffic and parking and suggested other commercial districts; three other residents submitted emails opposing commercial development. The council approved the rezone to CN excluding the 50-foot height recommendation.
