Which lawn calendar to use
St. George has its own USU turf calendar.[3] Beaver and Iron counties are in the southwest calendar,[4] which also covers parts of Garfield and Kane.
Good to know here
- USU's fall guidance puts the southern Utah irrigation season at March through November.[5]
- The Slow the Flow rebates page lists St. George among the places with local programs.[6]
- USU does not recommend bermudagrass as a turf; common bermudagrass is an established weed in many southwestern lawns.[7]
