Bryce Canyon City at a glance

Garfield County · Utah

Bryce Canyon City is the community immediately outside the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. Its visitor economy grew around Ruby’s Inn, established by Reuben C. Syrett in 1916, and it incorporated in July 2007. The city and the national park are separate jurisdictions.

For visitors, the community provides a place to find lodging, food and trip services before entering the park. For residents and businesses, the municipal website is the place for city departments and local notices. The city’s own history also describes its transportation hub and its relationship with the Bryce Canyon shuttle.
