Sales tax revenue bonds, Series 2022
Approved · 4-0
Bond counsel Laura Lewis set parameters of a maximum 5 percent interest rate, 31-year maturity and 3 percent discount, with a true interest cost closer to 2.5 percent and repayment anticipated over 20 years. City Administrator Paul Jerome said the projects include widening Eagle Mountain Boulevard from two to four lanes past Aviator Avenue, replacing the Pony Express roundabout with a signal, adding lanes on Mid Valley Road and Old Airport Road and a sewer trunk line, at an estimated $16 million against a proposed $20 million bond. He said the bond will not raise taxes and a Cedar Pass Ranch waterline repair of $1 million to $2 million could be added, which Gray supported. A public hearing is set for March 15, 2022. The original motion for $22 million was replaced by an amended motion for not more than $25 million.
