    Browns Meadow rezone

    Approved with conditions · 5-0

The land is zoned Agricultural with a general plan designation of Agricultural Rural Density Two and Neighborhood Residential One, and the request is RD1 with about one-acre lots; the Planning Commission recommended approval with two-acre lots abutting northern properties. Residents Kathryn Richards, Elizabeth Lebrecht and Amy Saunders asked that transitions to neighboring Utah County parcels be enforced to protect property and animal rights. Cook suggested RA2 zoning, tabling or one-acre lots; applicant representatives Brett Lovell and Howard Schmidt agreed to transitions but said two-acre lots would not help buffering. The council approved RD1 contingent on a development agreement and asked the applicant to revise the plat.
