  1. April 1, 2025 · City Council

Release of a permanent sanitary sewer easement, retention of temporary easement

    Approved · 5-0

City Attorney Marcus Draper said the easement runs from the Tyson plant to a lift station on land Oquirrh Wood Ranch plans to sell to Tract. Oquirrh Wood Ranch plans a gravity sewer line in the Pole Canyon Boulevard right-of-way to the treatment plant, eliminating the lift station, and Public Works supports it. Council Member Jared Gray disclosed unrelated business dealings with the owners outside Utah County; Draper reviewed city code and said recusal was not required. No one spoke.

Moved by Council Member Rich Wood, seconded by Council Member Donna Burnham. Vote: 5-0

  2. February 20, 2024 · City Council

Consent: Old Airport Road right-of-way purchase, Firefly water agreement amendment, separation agreement

    Approved · 5-0

The consent agenda approved a purchase and sale agreement for Old Airport Road right-of-way with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through Property Reserve, Inc., an amendment to the Firefly water purchase agreement with Oquirrh Wood Ranch moving the take-down dates to Jan. 2, 2034 and Jan. 2, 2035 to reflect a 2,000 acre-foot award from the Central Utah Water Conservancy District instead of 3,000, and a separation agreement whose terms the minutes do not give. Draper said the city is ahead of schedule on take-downs.

Moved by Council Member Rich Wood, seconded by Council Member Jared Gray (consent agenda with corrections to 9.B). Vote: 5-0

City Administrator Paul Jerome was to present. The item was tabled January 17, 2023. The agenda title names Oquirrh Wood Ranch, LLC while its background names Oquirrh Mountain Ranch, LLC as buyer. Applicant Nate Shipp requested 3,000 acre-feet through a Central Utah Water Conservancy District agreement plus 1,000 acre-feet from the city's existing contract, a total of 4,000 acre-feet, buying 330 acre-feet a year for nine years starting in 2024, contingent on district approval. Council Members Carolyn Love and Wright had unresolved concerns with the draft, Council Member Donna Burnham preferred tabling to denial and Curtis was ready to vote.
