Future Land Use Plan map amendment, seven areas (Ordinance 20-04)

    Approved with conditions · 5-0

Community Development Director Mike DeSimone said the Future Land Use Plan is a policy document, not a rezone. Gail Yost commented on the 200 South/300 South area and church zoning, and Tami Pyfer asked that the Legrand Street area remain Recreation. The council made area-by-area changes, including keeping Area 2 as Mixed-Use and Area 4 as Recreation, and adopted the map as amended.

  2. July 21, 2020 · City Council

Workshop: citywide zoning map amendment, seven areas (Ordinance 20-20)

    Discussed

The amendment covers about 64 acres in seven areas to match recent Future Land Use Plan changes. Council Member Bradfield asked that Area 4 remain RC. The Planning Commission recommended keeping Area 5 as RC and denied the change at 525 North 600 West in Area 6; Area 7 will return with a possibly different proposed zone. One comment asked that the Legrand Street property be Mixed-Use rather than Commercial. Action was set for August 4.

Council Member Bradfield asked that Area 4 remain Resource Conservation. Kristie Cooley raised flooding concerns for Country Manor, and Steve Hoedt asked about the Logan River changes.
