Rezone 1.96 acres on Carterville Road from R20 to R12

Approved · 7-0 with the mayor

A homeowner asked to split two lots into three, keeping the existing house on a 1.26-acre lot and creating two new lots of about 18,177 and 16,853 square feet along Carterville Road. The R20 zone requires 20,000 square feet; R12 requires 12,000, and the General Plan's Low Density Residential designation supports it. Several neighbors attended a neighborhood meeting with no objections. A neighbor wrote that they would prefer one home but did not object and asked that the new houses be sited with care.
