    Rezone 1230 West 2000 South, OS5 to PD55 (about 9.43 acres)

Approved with conditions · 5-2 with the mayor

Developer Paul Washburn proposed community commercial zoning near the planned Lakeview Parkway, including a gas station he said the concept needed. Six neighbors, several from a 55-plus community, opposed the gas station and cited noise, crime, building height and setbacks. Millett asked for added conditions; Spencer preferred C2 zoning and opposed the gas station; Gale was concerned about restricting a landowner's use; Mayor Young voiced concerns. Council approved the rezone with conditions.
