Name 1200 West as Wolverine Way

Approved · 6-1 with the mayor

Utah Valley University asked the city to name 1200 West, which links Center Street and University Parkway to its Orem campus, Wolverine Way. The road is public from 800 South to the Lindon border and private (UVU-owned) from 800 South to University Parkway. Signs would show both names and the signage continues to 1600 North to avoid confusion. Council Member Brent Sumner asked why the extension; staff said a split name would confuse drivers.

Moved by Council Member Tom Macdonald, seconded by Council Member Terry Peterson. Vote: 6-1 including the mayor; Council Member Brent Sumner voted no.
