Council rejects Maxwell Square mixed-use plan on 100 East over traffic, awards three road contracts
October 14, 2025, 7:00 p.m. · American Fork City Hall, 31 N. Church St.
The council unanimously denied a land use change for Maxwell Square at 148 North 100 East, where a developer wanted townhomes over ground-floor commercial in a building up to 55 feet tall, citing traffic on 100 East. It vacated part of 900 West at 350 South for the Lakeshore Landing subdivision, approved revised JUB Engineers terms dropping liquidated damages, and awarded crack seal ($125,000), slurry seal ($81,620) and a Caveman Boulevard/300 North signal ($116,988.58) contracts.
