Council approves Lake City Row plan change over objections it skipped review, hires engineers for three road projects

May 25, 2021, 7:00 p.m. · American Fork City Hall, 31 N. Church St.

The American Fork City Council voted 4-1 to amend the Lake City Row planned community to allow flex office-warehouse space and about 300 fewer homes, though the Planning Commission had recommended denial and the developer's new presentation was not in the packet; Councilmember Kevin Barnes voted no. The council hired CRS Engineers to design the 700 North Connection and a 300 West-Pacific Drive signal and Civil Science to design a 1100 South-500 East signal, and approved federal and MAG funding agreements for the Art Dye Trail and 700 North. It also created a city audit committee.
