Logan Secure Storage rezone from IP to AP, Ordinance 24-02 (public hearing)

    Denied · 4-0

The council denied rezoning 4.43 acres at 1950 North 1000 West for a 70,275-square-foot, 503-unit self-storage facility. Staff and the Planning Commission (6-0) recommended denial, and a 2021 approval had expired. The proponent described a Class-A facility and said a permit delay stemmed from sewer-related conditions. Holley said the extension required a submission by December 30, 2022 and the permit was submitted in May 2023. Council Member Simmonds said the district court had upheld the city's denial. Joshua Molitor supported the project; Dr. Yost supported denial.
