Truth in Taxation update
Discussed
Finance Director Dean Lundell explained how Utah property tax rates work and said Lehi's share is a small part of a resident's total property tax bill. Any proposed rate above the certified rate triggers the Truth in Taxation process. He said he would present at the hearing the following week and that, if the increase passes, it would fund two new police officer positions.

End of green waste collection
Discussed
Lundell said green waste is no longer accepted, so residents use their green can for any garbage, but the city still charges a lower green waste fee that does not cover the cost of pickup. Options were to charge the regular garbage rate for the can or to offer to collect the cans. Blake Leonelli of Waste Management said collecting cans would be a logistical challenge and that the company is exploring other options, including a site that might accept green waste, and would report back.

Item 9 · Subdivision
Gardner Point Phases 5, 6 and 7 setback table amendment
Approved with conditions · 4-1
Applicant representative Brandon Watts asked to change the setback table to match the Exchange Subdivision, which he said allows more variety in homes. Struthers said driveway parking room remains adequate, the front living space footprint can sit closer to the sidewalk, and the change applies only to single-family homes. Council members raised concern about driveway length. Struthers said a misunderstanding at the Development Review Committee meeting meant two comments from Power and Water could be struck. The motion was amended at Council Member Paul Hancock's suggestion to note that the two reviewers confirmed they were fine withdrawing the comments. Council Member Katie Koivisto voted no.
