Council keeps 2.25 parking spaces per apartment over Carroll's objection; Karen Kester named treasurer
July 14, 2020, 7:00 p.m. · Held electronically (COVID-19 emergency)
The council cleaned up its off-street parking table but kept the 2.25-spaces-per-unit standard for multifamily housing on a 4-1 vote, with Staci Carroll opposed because she favored lower ratios for small units. It appointed Karen Kester city treasurer, rezoned a home at 280 N. North County Blvd. to professional office, approved escrow bonds for Edgewater North and The Yard, and made electronic-meeting rules permanent for emergencies. Staff reported MAG grant funding for two roundabouts.

No action
Bunker said both city applications for Mountainland Association of Governments funding scored highly: a roundabout near Greenwood Elementary and one at 200 South and 300 West. The Fire Department received a $15,000 Firehouse Subs grant for a UTV to reach the Cedar Hills golf course and foothills. Steel Days drew 130 pickleball, 12 kickball and 102 spikeball teams; one sports participant and one employee had tested positive for COVID-19.
