Mayor breaks tie to require ground-floor commercial on 200 South in TOD; Knife River gets $577,800 Main Street water line

March 10, 2020, 7:00 p.m. · American Fork City Hall, 31 N. Church St.

With Clark Taylor absent, Mayor Frost broke a 2-2 tie to require that buildings fronting 200 South in the TOD mixed-use core devote the equivalent of their ground floor to non-residential uses; Kevin Barnes and Rob Shelton voted no. The council adopted 2020 sewer, pressurized irrigation and culinary water master plans and impact fee facilities plans, tabled the transportation plan, approved IFA Subdivision No. 2 and a Bank of America/Apollo Burger site plan 3-1 over Staci Carroll's concerns about a new 900 West signal, and awarded Knife River a $577,800 West Main Street water line contract.
