The Council held a public meeting on the ballot proposition to authorize $85 million in general obligation bonds for acquiring and improving parks, trails, open space and recreational facilities. A pro argument was read into the record. Two speakers supported the bond, citing water conservation, the Great Salt Lake, increased trail use since the pandemic and Westside projects along the Jordan River. One speaker opposed raising taxes and said the city was becoming unaffordable.
