Readoption of Logan-Nibley boundary adjustment, Ordinance 25-10 (public hearing)

    Approved · 4-0

Community Development Director Mike DeSimone said the original Ordinance 24-20 missed the state's 60-day approval window after personnel changes at the applicant's firm, and the Lieutenant Governor's office directed readoption. The adjustment covers about 14.75 acres across seven parcels, mostly owned by Watermark Project, LLC, so owners can de-annex from Logan and annex into Nibley for development. Nibley must also readopt before the plat goes to the county and state. No one spoke.

    • Principal owner: Watermark Project, LLC

Intent to adjust Logan-Nibley boundary, Resolution 24-27

    Approved · 5-0

The council approved a notice of intent. DeSimone explained a 2006 annexation, a proponent's failed rezone request in Logan and a later agreement with Nibley, and said there is no hostility over the boundary. Council Member Simmonds asked what happens if an owner objects; DeSimone said only affected parcels could protest, and the options are to approve as is or have the applicant amend it. Dr. Gail Yost supported the adjustment.
