    Main Street pedestrian underpass update

    Discussed

Public Works Director Paul Lindhardt said the underpass near 600 South is built with UDOT, with ACME Construction as contractor and Stanley Consultants overseeing. Box delivery is expected the first week of September. Main Street will close to one lane each way for up to 60 days, with up to 10 nights of full closure, and completion is expected in late October or early November. Chair Simmonds asked for advance signage near the Logan River Golf Course or at 100 West, and Lindhardt said the contractor must provide traffic control.

    Public Works budget

    Discussed

Director Paul Lindhardt and Sam Odd said the 1250 North and 200 East signal is live, the Main Street underpass is two weeks ahead of schedule, and the Thrushwood Bridge on 100 North goes to bid this fall at just under $8 million with $1.2 million requested. The 400 North and 600 West intersection needs $3.2 million, which with prior funds and a new $5.8 million county COG grant reaches a $12 million target. A 200 East corridor study is budgeted at $150,000.
