Fairway Lofts rezone, Ordinance 22-22 (public hearing)

    Approved · 5-0

The council rezoned 0.26 acre at 391 South 400 West from MR-12 to Neighborhood Center for a 1,000-square-foot corner market, two residential units and a drive-thru lane. Staff recommended approval of the rezone and conditional approval of the permits but said drive-thru lanes do not fit the zone and cited six driveways and a garage setback issue. Tonight's action covered only the rezone; the project returns to the council for confirmation. No one spoke.

Fairway Lofts rezone, Ordinance 22-22 (workshop)

    Discussed

Holley presented a request to rezone 0.26 acre at 391 South 400 West from MR-12 to Neighborhood Center for a 1,000-square-foot corner market, two residential units and a detached garage with a drive-thru lane. Staff recommended approval of the rezone and conditional approval of the permits but raised concerns about the drive-thru, six driveways and a garage that misses the 10-foot setback. Holley said the zone may be a spot zone but the west side is underserved by corner stores. Action was set for December 6.
