Cache Valley Transit District rezone, 754 West 600 North, Ordinance 25-08

    Approved · 5-0

The council rezoned 4.47 acres in the Ellis Neighborhood from Public (PUB) to Commercial Services (CS). Connect moved to a new North Logan facility in January 2025 and the owner plans to sell; staff said PUB fits only public-entity ownership and 600 North separates industrial and commercial zones. The Planning Commission recommended approval 6-0 on April 24. Kristi Fatuesi asked why the site was not considered for a new recreation center; Matthew Fatuesi called the rezone a missed chance for a transportation hub. Chair Simmonds said the district must sell to pay for its North Logan building, and Vice Chair Johnson noted the owner requested the rezone.
