3rd District: Maloy reelected

Republican Rep. Celeste Maloy won reelection in Utah's 3rd Congressional District on Tuesday, according to an Associated Press call reported by KUTV. [2]

Maloy first won a House seat in a November 2023 special election in the 2nd District, replacing her former boss, Rep. Chris Stewart. [2]

Unofficial state results posted at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday showed Maloy with 97,974 votes, or 57.93%, to 59,899 votes, or 35.41%, for Democrat Kent S. Udell. Constitution Party candidate Cassie Easley had 2.74%, Libertarian Michael R. Stoddard had 1.90% and unaffiliated candidates had the rest. [1]

2nd District: Moore leads Crosby

In the 2nd District, Republican Rep. Blake Moore led Democrat Peter Crosby 95,926 votes to 83,211, or 49.79% to 43.19%. Carlton E. Bowen of the Independent American Party had 2.92%, unaffiliated candidate Robert M. Moesinger had 2.50% and Libertarian Daniel Cottam had 1.60%. [1]

KUTV reported the race was undecided, with an estimated 64% of votes counted when Moore's lead was 10,735 votes. [3] Moore was first elected in 2020 in the 1st District; the court-ordered map moved his reelection bid to the 2nd. [3]

4th District: Kennedy leads Larsen

In the 4th District, Republican Rep. Mike Kennedy led Democrat Jonny Larsen 87,002 votes to 69,735, or 51.89% to 41.59%. Unaffiliated candidate Steven Burt had 3.76% and Libertarian Taylor Wright had 2.77%. [1]

KUTV reported that race was also undecided as ballots were counted. Kennedy, a physician and former state legislator, was first elected to Congress in 2024 and is seeking a second term. [4]

The new map

All four districts were redrawn after Third District Judge Dianna Gibson approved new boundaries in November 2025, replacing a map that split Salt Lake County four ways. The new map created a Democratic-leaning 1st District centered on Salt Lake County, which Democrat Ben McAdams won Tuesday, and reshaped the other three. [3][4]

Results are unofficial. County clerks are still counting mail ballots that arrived on Election Day, and counties have until the canvass two weeks after the election to certify final totals.
