Approved · 6-0
Planner Megan Jensen said the remaining 20-foot strip of dedicated right-of-way is no longer needed since the road improvements are complete. Public Works Director Gordon Haight said the planned road will have 36 feet of asphalt, 6-foot sidewalks and park strips, and widening further would require buying several homes. Councilors Bogdin and Whitlock supported the vote for the sidewalk safety benefit to students.

Discussed
A planner said about a 0.08-acre, 20-foot strip would return to the original dedicating owners under state law at no cost to the city. Haight said widening would require acquiring about nine homes, so the city will build sidewalks and add no-parking signs.
