200 South residents air construction frustrations; council annexes Skidmore land, raises TOD parking minimums

April 30, 2024, 7:00 p.m. · American Fork City Hall, 31 N. Church St.

A crowd of residents from the 200 South construction zone asked the council to speed up the road project, add signage and oversight, fill potholes and provide better updates; Mayor Frost asked for patience and offered a meeting. The council annexed the 7.552-acre Skidmore property into the Planned Industrial zone, accepted the THN 2 annexation petition at 1054 East 300 North over neighbors' worries about building height, approved a pioneering agreement with Deer Park LLC for 1100 South, raised parking requirements for LT-8 and LT-9 lots in the TOD, adopted new road cross-sections, updated the moderate-income housing plan and approved a concrete services contract with Quicksilver Concrete. Consent items released $279,940.72 in Stonecreek durability retainers.
