Council accepts C&N Taylorsville annexation petition near North County Boulevard amid zoning dispute

July 26, 2022, 7:00 p.m. · American Fork City Hall, 31 N. Church St.

The American Fork City Council accepted a petition to annex land at 1700 North and North County Boulevard owned by C&N Taylorsville, which wants commercial zoning, on the condition that it come in under whatever the general plan designates; the plan now shows public facilities because the city once eyed the site for a fire station. The council also declared property surplus for disposal to UDOT and approved a master lease with The Bancorp for five vehicles.

What residents said

No comments at the surplus property hearing. Kurt Ostler of C&N Taylorsville said his firm bought the parcel at a Utah County bid expecting commercial zoning, that national retailers are interested, and that keeping it public facilities would be a taking.
