Munchkin Road realignment memorandum of understanding

    Approved · 4-0

The memorandum with two private property owners sets terms for realigning Munchkin Road; design began in 2018 and construction is targeted for fall 2027. The city would build and manage a temporary surface lot on Recycle Utah property (estimated above $600,000), pay a capped $100,000 toward infrastructure impacts of demolishing part of an events center, grant a temporary employee parking license on the 5-acre parcel and pursue removal of a Highway 248 curb cut. The owners would provide easements, remove part of the event center and share design costs. Staff estimated the Recycle Utah land at $1.5 million to $3 million. No public comment.
