Rezone at Lockwood Drive and Washington Boulevard for two townhomes

    Approved · 7-0

The rezone covers about 0.5 acres. It would let the lot be subdivided into three, with two attached townhomes added and the existing house kept. A development agreement would require owner occupancy for 10 years after final plat approval. The Planning Commission recommended approval. Council members asked about added congestion and left-turn problems on Washington Boulevard; Chair Hyer suggested looking at a signal at 1100 North. Four residents spoke, three in support of owner-occupied housing and one raising water-line, construction and school-traffic concerns.

    • Zone change: R-1-6 to R-2S/CO
    • Size: about 0.5 acres, three lots
    • Owner occupancy required for 10 years

Moved by Council Member Peterson, seconded by Vice Chair Graf. Vote: 7-0 on roll call
