Planner Russ Holley proposed making banks, general sales and service, and big-box stores over 100,000 square feet conditional uses in the Industrial zone, to encourage big-box retailers to move from Main Street to the west side. Staff recommended approval. The Planning Commission tied 2-2 on May 27. Amy Anderson asked about the commission's concerns; Holley said they centered on banks and added traffic.
