Discussed
Planner Tanya Rice presented a request by Jason Thompson of Miller Real Estate Enterprises to rezone a 2-acre lot in the Bridger Neighborhood from Commercial to Commercial Services for an 8,000 to 11,000 square foot auto service and repair shop. The Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend denial. An NR-6 residential zone lies across from the site. Council Member Tom Jensen was surprised the applicant continued after the denial; Rice said the applicant wants a final council decision. Council Member Amy Anderson noted a rezone would apply to the whole area, not only the proposed use. The applicant did not attend.
