Meeting electronically, the American Fork City Council rezoned property at 760 N. 200 East for a residential development with trail and road dedications and moved ahead with the Searle Annexation #3. It approved Cityworks permitting software and a $27,000 setup contract with Centricity GIS. What residents said

Too much growth and apartment constructionTraffic congestionUneven enforcement of electronic sign rules

No one spoke at hearings on the 9.47-acre ABF Property Annexation at about 300 West 1000 South or the 6.49-acre GWZT Property Annexation at about 700 South 100 West. Laurel Shelley said growth and multifamily housing are outpacing infrastructure, congestion is terrible and large apartment complexes will become 'insta-slums'; she asked the council to stop changing zoning. Colton Bain, owner of Niche Displays, said records he obtained show banks were allowed to enlarge electronic message signs while small businesses such as a nursery were denied; the mayor asked for his contact information.
