Redevelopment Agency assistance to 300 North Main, LLC, Resolution 21-06 RDA
Approved · 5-0
Acting as the Redevelopment Agency, the council approved up to $150,000 in credit toward demolishing two buildings, one at 25 West 300 North and one at 339 North Main, from the agency reserve of about $10.2 million, most of it committed. Conditions: demolition by December 31, 2025; repayment of the city's costs if the property sells for more than $850,000 within five years; and a five-year city right of first refusal. Keegan Garrity asked about plans after demolition and precedent, and said he was satisfied by the answer; another resident asked whether the city could adopt a code to prevent blight, and City Attorney Kymber Housley described the vacant building ordinance and property maintenance code.
