Price's $15.3 million spring water line: a $4.56 million forgiven loan and a $10.6 million state loan
State records describe Price's planned replacement of seven miles of spring water transmission pipeline at an estimated $15,297,000, funded mostly by a $10,638,000 state revolving fund loan and $4,559,000 in principal forgiveness. The council approved the principal forgiveness agreement in January.
Budgets, reserves and taxes
Price's fiscal 2027 storm water budget is $7.1 million, mostly planned flood grants
Price budgeted $7,134,922 for its storm water fund in fiscal 2027, mostly for a Meads Wash BRIC project and federal emergency watershed work. The revenue lines are grants and a loan the budget assumes, and the council approved applications for two of the projects in March.
Price plans a $3.3 million transfer from its electric utility to the general fund
Price's fiscal 2027 budget moves $3.3 million from the city electric fund to the general fund, about 27% of the electric fund's budgeted spending. The council held a hearing on the transfer June 24; no one commented.
