UDOT consultant Diego Carroll and Eric Rasband said the 1600 North widening project is ready to advertise for bid within a couple of months, home sales are being finalized before demolition, and the environmental study calls for roughly 9-foot concrete noise walls for the remaining adjacent homes, whose owners responded positively. Orem decided not to put a noise wall in front of Bonneville Park. The expansion extends east of State Street without closing businesses.
