    Park City Fire Department presentation

    Discussed

Station 34 is under construction. Calls have risen each year since 2009 and about 65 percent are EMS. A December 2022 fire at Town Pointe damaged three of 41 units with $600,000 to $1,000,000 in damage, and a January 2023 fire at Hotel Park City caused about $600,000 in damage and was ruled accidental. Rubell noted starting firefighter pay is $48,000; the chief said only three firefighters live in city limits.

  4. Item VII · City code

International worker and rental regulations workshop

  5. Item VIII · Other

    Council liaison assignments

    Discussed

The Blue Ribbon Commission on council compensation recommended fewer liaison assignments. Rubell, Doilney and Gerber favored trimming and using staff on some groups; Toly and Dickey valued spreading council members across groups. Mayor Worel asked members to mark groups staff could cover.

  6. Item Leg · Other

    Legislative update

    Discussed

A fractional ownership bill passed and homeowner associations can prohibit fractional use in covenants; a substitute bill with subterranean language did not pass. Rubell asked whether subdivisions could still pursue Land Management Code amendments.
