Stealth wireless tower height text amendment

The Council adopted Ordinance 73 of 2022 allowing stealth wireless telecommunication facilities up to 75 feet, instead of 35 feet, in the Public Lands zone citywide. The request stems from a proposed stealth cellular tower at the Pioneer Police Precinct at 1040 West 700 South (Petition PLNPCM2020-00284). The Planning Commission had forwarded a negative recommendation. Council Member Mano, who voted no, said his opposition was because of the stealth aspect of the towers.
