Avenues Community Plan update (initial briefing)

    Discussed

Planning staff said the existing Avenues plan, adopted in 1987, is the city's oldest neighborhood plan, and the update would set a 10-year vision aligned with Plan Salt Lake covering historic districts, land use and open space. Council Members and staff discussed how area plans have developed, the city's role regarding the LDS Hospital property, how the plan would be used, naturally occurring affordable housing in the Avenues and the trails plan. Council Member Lopez Chavez left and Council Member Wharton joined during this item.
