    Discussed

The council was briefed on a request to rezone three parcels from R-1/7,000 single-family to CB (Community Business), which would allow multi-family, commercial, retail and restaurant uses. No development plans were submitted. The applicant said a restaurant on the site would be retained and the large parking lot eliminated, and that affordable housing was not viable at this time; he preferred no restrictions on unit rates but said options could be considered if needed to get approval. Council members said they preferred some affordability be included before a final rezone and asked whether the applicant would enter a development agreement.
