    Discussed

Staff presented a petition to rezone three parcels from AG-2 (Agricultural) to M1-A (Northpoint Light Industrial). Two parcels are irrigated pastureland with no structures; the third, on 2200 West, has a house and would mainly serve as alternate access. The Planning Commission forwarded a negative recommendation. Council Members, staff and the applicant's representative discussed screening, tree buffers, setbacks and access limits for nearby homes, and the applicant said he would accept added conditions. Council Members also discussed barring data centers; a straw poll in favor of prohibiting data centers on the properties as a condition of the rezone had every Council Member present in favor.
