October 20, 2026, 6:30 p.m. · Midvale City Hall, 7505 South Holden Street, Midvale
The Midvale City Council's Oct. 20 agenda listed Ordinance 2026-O-30, which would remove a secondary public road and narrow a right-of-way near Pod I in the Jordan Bluffs zone. The council tabled the item Sept. 15 and asked the city engineer for guidance on the safety and viability of the rights-of-way. Staff advised denial; the Planning Commission recommended approval on a split vote. Minutes have not been posted, so the council's decision is not recorded here.

Ordinance 2026-O-30: remove rights-of-way adjacent to Pod I, Jordan Bluffs zone
Pending
The ordinance would amend Figures 1 and 2 of the Jordan Bluffs zone rules to eliminate two public rights-of-way next to Pod I: the secondary road that divides Pod I from Pod J, and a narrower right-of-way on the south edge of the park. The applicant says that should help traffic at Ivy and Bingham Junction Boulevard. Staff say fewer connections could increase congestion and make the design less pedestrian-oriented, find that the proposal does not meet the code-amendment criteria, and advise denial. The Planning Commission recommended approval on a split vote.
